A cosmic odyssey through psychedelia, jazz, and ambient exploration
UK sonic adventurer Ivan The Tolerable returns with his most expansive work yet — a sprawling double album that dissolves boundaries between composition and improvisation, ancient and futuristic, earthbound and cosmic.
The Journey
House of the Hidden Light is pure sonic exploration: modular synths swelling against wild reeds, field recordings fading into celestial drones, ghost rhythms bubbling beneath fractured jazz motifs. Recorded across North Yorkshire and remote locations, this is music for getting lost in — a soundtrack for undiscovered planets and internal voyages.
"It's about creating a space to get lost in," says Oli Heffernan (Ivan The Tolerable). "Not about arriving anywhere — staying in motion, dissolving boundaries."
